Other Kenya tours from Mombasa

Beyond Tsavo, Mombasa is a base for Arabuko Sokoke, the Wasini and Kisite boat, Shimba Hills, and longer safaris. The Maasai Mara is a multi-day trip or a flight. It is not an afternoon drive from the island.

Shorter trips

The photograph at the top is Mombasa, the city the trip starts from. Shimba Hills is the forest day on the south coast. Arabuko Sokoke, between Watamu and Malindi, is a forest walk for birds and the chance of the rare animals that forest is known for. It is not a big-game drive. Wasini Island and Kisite-Mpunguti are a boat day from Shimoni, usually joined to a Diani stay. The boat and the marine fee are named in that quote.

Longer safaris

Tsavo East, Tsavo West, and Amboseli are the inland parks we plan from Mombasa most often. The Maasai Mara, Nairobi, and the parks further north are possible only as a longer safari, by road over several days or by air. Send the dates. We will say which one is honest for the time you have. A single price that claims "all Kenya tours" is not a quote we send.
