Tsavo East safari from Mombasa
Tsavo East is the large park on the way from Mombasa toward Voi. Allow about 160 km and 3 to 4 hours to that side of the park before the game drive starts. A day is possible. An overnight sees more.

What the day looks like
The photograph at the top is Mombasa, the city the trip starts from. You leave Mombasa on the highway inland. Bachuma gate is the near entrance. The Voi side is the usual first base, about 3 to 4 hours out. Red soil, elephants, and open country are the character of this side of Tsavo. The vehicle is private. A shared departure is not how this trip is sold.
A there-and-back day reaches the near section and comes home late. If you also want Tsavo West, book at least one night. Park fees are set by the Kenya Wildlife Service and sit outside the vehicle quote unless the chat lists them. Pairing this with Fort Jesus on the same date is not a plan we sell.
