Amboseli safari from Mombasa
Amboseli is not a day trip from Mombasa. The drive is about 7 to 8 hours via Tsavo West. The booking is an overnight safari in a private vehicle. Kilimanjaro is there when the sky is clear. The mountain is not guaranteed.

How the safari is shaped
The photograph at the top is Mombasa, the city the trip starts from. Most parties leave Mombasa, cross Tsavo East or stay on the highway, and use Tsavo West as the long middle of the road to Amboseli. Asking for Amboseli as an afternoon after Fort Jesus does not work. The park is famous for elephants on the open plain, with Kilimanjaro on the horizon when cloud allows.
Park fees and any lodge are separate lines. We do not invent a lodge name on this page. Send the dates and the party size. If you would rather fly and save the road, say that. A road quote and a flight quote are different answers.
