A furnished apartment is a self-catering flat, most often in Mombasa or Nyali, for a stay that is longer than a weekend city tour. You get a kitchen. Weekly rates can be requested. The amount is quoted for your dates.

When an apartment is the right room
The photograph at the top is Mombasa, the city the trip starts from. Choose an apartment when someone wants a kitchen, a week or more, or a base while the rest of the party mixes city tours and a coast day. It is usually a worse fit than a resort if you want a beach outside the door and a restaurant downstairs. Say which of those you care about.
The quote names the area, the number of bedrooms, whether cleaning is included, and the check-in time. Linen and a kitchen are the expectation. A cook is not, unless the reply adds one. For a private house with a pool, look at villas instead.

Do furnished apartments have kitchens?
Yes. That is the point of this category. The quote will say if any utensil or cooker exception applies.
Can I book one week?
Yes. Send the dates. A weekly stay is a normal request.
Are apartments on the beach?
Some are near Nyali or the island waterfront. A beach-door stay is usually a resort or a Diani villa. Say which you want.
