Nyali and north coast tour
This tour stays on the north coast: Nyali's beach and reef flat, and Bamburi if you want Haller Park or a shorter sea stop. It is the right day when the fort is not the point. Pickup is private.
What you are booking
Nyali is the north-coast suburb across the Nyali Bridge from Mombasa island. The public edge is a palm beach and a shallow reef flat. A north-coast day can be a swim and a slow lunch, or a swim plus Haller Park. It is a poor use of the day if you have never seen Fort Jesus and you only have one morning. In that case take the half-day city tour.
Beach time does not use a museum ticket. If the route includes Haller Park, that ticket is extra. If it includes a boat to the marine park, use the marine park page so the KWS fee is clear.
Practical points
Wear swim clothes for the beach and carry a cover-up if the day might still touch Old Town. Sun on the reef flat is strong even when the water looks mild. The season page covers rain and heat. Hotels in Nyali and Bamburi are the shortest pickups for this route.
Questions
Is Nyali on Mombasa island?
No. Nyali is on the north coast, linked to the island by the Nyali Bridge.
Does the beach tour include Fort Jesus?
Only if you ask for it. A beach day and a fort visit together need a full day, not a short beach stop.
Is there an entrance fee for the beach?
The shoreline walk does not use a Fort Jesus or KWS ticket. Haller Park and the marine park do, if you add them.
